Maxim Malaysia Reflects on Year of Transformation, Sets Sights on Expansion for 2026

As the year concludes, Maxim E-hailing Malaysia shows results for a period of significant transformation and solid results across compliance, safety, and community service in 2025 and shares the plans for 2026.

The company’s comprehensive efforts in 2025, which included achieving 100% driver licensing compliance through rigorous verification and full financial support for permits, were formally recognised with the final approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD). This milestone solidifies the operational platform for Maxim’s next phase.

“The work we completed this year was about building a strong, responsible, and sustainable foundation. Achieving full compliance and recognition allows us to focus our energy entirely on growth and improvement for our community,” said Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim Malaysia. “Our roadmap for 2026 is clear: to expand opportunities for drivers, reach new communities, and enhance our services.”

Throughout 2025, Maxim enhanced its core service by launching new safety features like the “Women's Rate” option and upgraded in-app SOS functions. The company optimized the “Mesra OKU” feature for passengers with disabilities and pioneered the “Drive for Inclusion” program to create earning opportunities for drivers with special needs. Support for daily mobility was extended through special public discounts.

Beyond the app, Maxim’s commitment was felt in communities nationwide. The company collaborated with local councils and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) on road safety awareness and executed over 50 CSR initiatives. These provided direct aid, including facility contributions to hospitals, as well as support for orphanages, underprivileged groups, and natural disaster victims.

“Our mission has always been about accessible mobility for everyone. This year’s partnerships and programs reinforce that what we provide is more than a ride. It’s a vital service that supports dignity, inclusion, and community strength,” Hazwan added.

With this foundation, Maxim’s 2026 strategy will focus on creating new opportunities and expanding its reach, especially in delivering food and goods. The company is also going to attract and legalize new driver-partners and create new opportunities to earn money in all regions. This effort will facilitate the expansion of Maxim’s services into rural and suburban areas, ensuring wider access to affordable and reliable mobility for all segments of society. Maxim will continue being useful for people and create a competitive e-hailing market in Malaysia.
